Snow!

Just wrapped up my third week here at UCCS and we already got some snow! I learned that even for Colorado this is pretty early for winter weather and it only lasted a few days. Even then, I haven't seen snow in a really long time so the Christmas vibes were up. I took advantage of the little snow and convinced one of my roommates to film a mountain bike edit for me that I think turned out pretty good. There is a short little downhill trail about 100 yards away from my room so having that on campus to go ride is a ton of fun.

The majority of the week was cold and gloomy but it warmed up by the weekend and allowed for two fun days of riding bikes. On Sunday me and 7 other members of the cycling club here met up and did a night ride up in the canyon. I have never done one before but it was a ton of fun and definitely an adventure. Classes are still going really well and I am getting used to my weekly schedule by now. My hardest class is definitely Cardiovascular Physiology and I got to go to an in-person seminar after our online lecture last week that really helped clear somethings up. Definitely a little bummed the lab for that class is canceled this semester because I'm sure it would've deepened my understanding about the heart and given me some cool finding to share with the EXSC homies back at USC but oh well. The fall is starting to feel normal now that college football and the NFL are back on during the weekends and I'm really stoked to watch some Gamecock football here in a few weeks. Until next time...
